Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Hecto Finance Limited (“Hecto”) processes personal information when you use Hecto Predictions, authenticate by email, complete eligibility checks, connect a wallet, view balances, lock or unlock $HECTO, choose a question pair, or use draw and prize-pool features.

Wallet providers, Canton participants, purchase venues and linked sites process information under their own privacy notices. This Policy covers Hecto’s processing, not theirs.

• Account information: email, account identifiers, authentication and support records.
• Eligibility information: the checks, evidence references, decision status and timestamps needed to administer access and prevent abuse.
• Wallet information: chosen provider, public party or wallet identifier, connection status, displayed balances, transaction references and technical proof metadata.
• Product activity: questions viewed, $HECTO lock or unlock requests, positions, cutoff states, draw and pool displays, notifications and timestamps.
• Technical and compliance information: device, browser, logs, security signals, IP-derived information where collected, correspondence and information needed for legal compliance.

• administer question rounds, positions, cutoff records, draws, allocation records and settlement references;
• secure the Service, prevent fraud and enforce Terms, eligibility and legal restrictions;
• communicate service, security and legal notices; and
• meet legal, regulatory, audit, tax, sanctions and recordkeeping requirements.

Where applicable, we process information to perform our contract with you, pursue legitimate interests such as security and service operation, comply with law, and with consent where required. We may share information with affiliates and service providers for hosting, security, authentication, support, compliance, professional advice and infrastructure; with an approved wallet, Canton participant or settlement provider where you request a live integration; and with authorities where required or permitted by law.

We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We do not use advertising trackers in the current Service.

The application may use local storage for theme and interface preferences. The separately identified demo route may store review-only state on the device. Configured rounds, positions, draw evidence, allocation records and settlement references are held in the administration database; account, wallet and transaction records may also be held by the relevant service or ledger. Ledger records can be permanent or difficult to alter.

We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes above, including security, dispute, compliance and legal obligations. Passwords and wallet signatures are not retained by this application after the relevant request. Retention by an upstream account system, wallet provider or ledger is governed by that party’s controls and notice.

We use measures designed to protect personal information, including access controls, bounded requests, short-lived sessions, origin checks and transport security. No internet, wallet or ledger system is fully secure. You must secure your email, device and wallet and verify the domain and every requested transaction before approval.

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, receive a portable copy, withdraw consent, complain to a regulator or exercise other rights. Submit requests to legal@hecto.inc. We may verify identity and may limit a request where law permits, including to protect security or other people’s rights. Immutable ledger records can limit deletion or correction.

This Policy may be updated for legal, technical or operational changes. The current date identifies the version. Use of the Service is also subject to the Terms and Risk Disclosure.
